EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

You’ve Got Questions - I’ve Got Answers

FAQ: FAQ

WHEN CAN MY CHILD BEGIN SWIM LESSONS?

For 1 on 1 lessons your child needs to be at least 22 months old.
If your child is between 6mo-24 months we offer a Baby Fins group class or private lesson with parent in the water. All Baby Fins will need to be accompanied with a Parent/Care-giver in the water.

WHAT DOES MY CHILD NEED FOR SWIM LESSONS?

-Swimsuit (this is a non negotiable).
-If in diapers, then waterproof diaper underneath swim suit.
-Your instructor is equipped with goggles and toys. If your child prefers a different goggle then they are more than welcome to wear them. It is not required to wear goggles but recommended once your child is underwater majority of the lesson to avoid irritation of the eyes.

DO YOU WORK WITH SPECIAL NEEDS CHILDREN?

Absolutely! Every child deserves the opportunity to learn this life saving skill. Our instructors are trained and extremely patient to work with your child no matter the circumstance.

DO YOU OFFER YEAR ROUND LESSONS?

Yes! We have a partnership with LA Fitness and have full access to 2 indoor pools. If you do not have a pool or would like to do lessons year round, this is a perfect option for you!

WHEN DO SUMMER LESSONS AT MY HOME START?

We begin a two week intensive course starting the first week of May, but pools must be heated. Weekly lessons through the summer start the first week of June.

HOW MANY LESSONS OR HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE MY CHILD TO LEARN TO SWIM?

Every child is different, and this is why we offer private lessons rather than group lessons. There are a variety of factors that affect your child's progress - Age, comfort, confidence, experience, and coordination are some to name a few. We all learn at different paces, and our instructors are trained to work with your child's unique abilities to advance them as quick as possible.

HOW DO YOU RECRUIT AND TRAIN YOUR INSTRUCTORS?

We believe in hiring individuals who are amazing with kids and train them over 60 hours to be competent to teach your little ones no matter their skill level. All of our instructors offer a unique experience to the lesson to keep it fun and engaging to help your child learn to swim!
